Beautifully sculpted in three dimensions, the fox’s face is richly detailed, with rose-cut diamonds scattered across the ears, forehead, cheeks and muzzle. The irregular hand-cut stones catch the light with that unmistakable soft, glittering sparkle unique to antique rose cuts, while the two deep red ruby eyes give him an almost mischievous expression.
The pendant tests as approximately 15ct gold and silver, a wonderfully traditional antique combination that allowed diamonds to be set into a bright white surface while retaining the warmth and richness of gold elsewhere in the piece.
Converted from its original brooch form, an 18ct gold bail has been added, making this little fox wonderfully wearable on a favourite antique chain, tucked into a neck mess or worn alone as a tiny statement pendant.
