Possibly the sweetest little fox in the collection. This wonderfully petite Victorian fox head charm is crafted in approximately 15ct gold, with a tiny pair of beautifully bright faceted ruby eyes in the prettiest pinky-red hue.
Smaller than the average antique fox head, there is something particularly adorable about his proportions - less grand old fox, more tiny baby cub. Despite his diminutive size, the modelling is full of character, with beautifully textured fur, pointed ears and a wonderfully expressive little face.
The charm appears to be of hollow construction, typical of many lightweight gold jewels of the period. A partial and very faded ‘15ct’ stamp remains visible to the reverse, although it is now almost illegible.
Originally a brooch, we have added a substantial 18ct gold circular bail, allowing this little fox cub to slip easily onto a favourite chain, bolt ring or charm holder.
